Artist Statement:
I love boulder opals. To me, this particolar stone represents the excitement of seeing the first images taken by Hubble Telescope in the 90ies. It has unusual deep dark tones and beautiful bright colors. I see stars, nebulas and stardust in it. And I also like this elongated oval shape that I accentuated with two pearls in Byzantine style, this way it looks timeless but is also very contemporary.
