Artist Statement:
I’m Julianne, a second-career, self-taught jewelry artist from rural, high desert, southwest Colorado. I’m most myself wandering the canyons and mountain forests where I live, or wherever I happen to be, and coaxing vegetables from my garden . The forms, textures and balanced asymmetry of the natural world inform my designs and are the heart of my inspiration. This particular ring is representative of the high, alpine lakes nestled between peaks near timberline in the mountain ranges – part of the greater Rocky Mountain Range- near me.
