Beyond Borders – Containing Objects, Releasing Ideas
From lockets, poison rings, and reliquaries to pill boxes, compacts, and vessels, containers are limited only to the borders created by their maker. In this show, artists rendered materials into vessels that explore these borders- including the perimeter, the fit of the lid, the hinge or clasp, and the joining of parts – to create containers that hint at the hidden, and explore the world concealed within their walls.
