Prerequisite: no experience required
Learn the simple tricks to cold working wire to create linkage systems for earrings, necklaces, ear wires and clasps all from the comfort of your home! This class will give you the basic skills to start making jewelry for yourself, as gifts, or to begin selling. Using basic hand tools, we will explore linkage systems for making earrings and necklaces. Projects will include one or two pairs of earrings and a bracelet. Student will make their own clasps and ear-wires, and learn basic small scale forging to add distinctive accents to their pieces. No soldering. No experience necessary.
Students MUST have:
Tool Kit #1 or the contents within, missing items can be purchased individually (provide a links for kit)
A computer, laptop, smart phone or iPad for conference video
Zoom app required if using phone – it’s free!)
If you do not have experience with Zoom, fret not! We can provide a free online tutorial with one of our staff to help you get comfortable before class.
