Michelle Zeidman is an artist, adventurer, and aspiring metalsmith. She is a student and teacher at Danaca Design, learning the fine arts of silversmithing and sharing her expertise in enameling. Michelle usually creates her jewelry in the Danaca Design Studio in Seattle, but with the Washington State Stay Home, Stay Healthy order in place, she was challenged to create a ring from the confines of her one-bedroom condo.
This minimalist botanical ring was hand-fabricated in Michelle’s simple at-home studio from sterling silver sheet metal and wire, using her grandpa’s hand tools and a second-hand flexshaft. It was conceptualized in a dream and modeled with white copy paper in the dark hours of the morning. The modern, floral design is inspired by a white Skagit Valley tulip Michelle purchased from a roadside flower stand near her home in Greenlake. It has a satin finish and would look great with a glass of wine. 😉
