Artist Statement:
My mitochondria ring is inspired by the beauty and complexity of the microscopic – both within us and in our world – that are essential to life yet remain mostly hidden.
This stunning ring is handmade using a laborious soldering and shaping process. The result is a complex arrangement of circles within circles. One of my favorite pieces I’ve ever made, this is my go to ring when I want something bold and unique. It just makes me happy.
This ring is a small sculpture, equally suitable as a statement piece for special occasions, or an art piece for everyday wear.
